Tony Winner and Broadway.com Star of the Year Steve Kazee Will Showcase Original Music at 54 Below in May

Grammy and Tony winner Steve Kazee is bringing a soulful country sound to 54 Below. Joined by his band, The Shiny Liars, the Broadway.com Star of the Year will perform two shows May 10 and 11 at the Times Square nightclub.

In his new solo concert, Kazee will introduce the music he plans to feature on his upcoming debut album, which he is recording this summer. The alt-country inspired evening includes original songs, covers of artists like Damien Jurado, Night Beds, Wilco and music reflected by Kazee’s southern upbringing.

Kazee won the 2012 Tony Award for his role as Guy in the Tony-winning musical Once. He also picked up a Grammy Award for the show’s original cast recording. His other theatrical credits include Spamalot, 110 in the Shade, To Be or Not to Be and Seascape. A former Broadway.com video blogger, Kazee also lent his vocals to the Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 movie soundtrack.
